ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Lorna, a native Italian speaker from Milan with family roots in Sardinia and strong ties to Liguria. I bring a rich, authentic Italian background to my teaching, shaped by the diverse cultural landscapes of these beautiful regions. I earned my Maturità Classica—Italy’s equivalent of A levels- specializing in Italian literature, language, and classical studies. I then pursued a degree in Political Science and International Relations, followed by a Master’s in Economic Development at the London School of Economics.

After several years in finance, I transitioned into education, inspired by raising my bilingual children and a passion for the science of language acquisition. Since then, I’ve worked as an Italian tutor, childminder, and Teaching Assistant, deepening my expertise in teaching Italian to both children and adults. I have also attended numerous workshops and conferences on teaching Italian as a Foreign Language, refining my skills to offer engaging, effective lessons.

Whether you’re studying for GCSE or A-Level Italian, interested in Italian lessons for your children, or simply want to learn Italian for travel or business, I am here to make your journey enjoyable and impactful. Let’s explore the beauty of Italian language and culture together and bring a piece of Italy into your life!
